Sportswear Underarm Area Pressing Standards
Every garment undergoes specific inspection of the underarm and sleeve joint areas during the finishing process. These curved, multi-seam sections are carefully examined to ensure all fabric layers lie flat without visible puckering or stubborn creases.
Trained inspectors evaluate whether pressing has properly addressed the natural folds that occur in underarm construction. Garments displaying persistent wrinkles in these articulation zones—which could affect comfort, appearance, or mobility—are returned for specialized steaming or re-pressing.
Items that cannot achieve a smooth finish in these critical areas following targeted treatment are set aside for quality review. This focused attention ensures activewear maintains a tailored appearance even in high-movement zones.
Note: Stretch fabrics and raglan sleeve constructions receive additional inspection due to their complex shaping.
